I just returned from somewhat sunny Daytona and my first-ever Welcome To Rockville, and a week later I’ll be honest I am still recovering. One of my most anticipated sets of the weekend was Sleeping With Sirens, as I was hoping they’d play their new music, and I did not leave disappointed.

I was worried as, ICYMI, we had to evacuate due to severe weather Sunday and I found myself very nervous to see if my favorite bands would still be able to play. I was so elated to find that while their set was cut a little short due to the evacuation, Sleeping With Sirens still did in fact play. They  played songs we all know and love like “Do It Now, Remember It Later” and “If You Cant Hang,” but they also played one of their newest singles “An Ending In Itself” ahead of the release of their next album set to release on June 12.

I’ve had the pleasure to see Sleeping With Sirens live a couple times, but this time they sounded the best I’ve heard. Adding that with the playing of their new single (which if you haven’t heard it yet but love emo/hardcore its a must listen).

The nostalgic melody coupled with some hardcore screams, and emo lyrics are a must listen for any self titled elder emo, or punk alike.

Be sure to check out their newest singles, and be on the look out for their album on June 12.
