I can’t explain it now, but I was never a big fan of 3OH!3 back when they were at their peak during my college days.
Needless to say, times have changed and when I saw 3OH!3 was playing at Riot Fest on Friday afternoon, I knew I had to be there. The electronic music duo from Colorado have seen a new wave of attention in recent years as many of their hits have gone viral on social media, but they’ve steadily released new music over the past 20-ish years. On August 27, 2021, they released their sixth and most recent studio album Need, however they performed nothing from it.
Instead, 3OH!3 played the hits, focusing on their most acclaimed records WANT and Streets of Gold during the 8-song, 30-minute set on the first day of Riot Fest. They performed “RICHMAN,” “My First Kiss,” “IMNOTYOURBOYFRIENDBABY” and “DONTTRUSTME” for a wild crowd.
