On the heels of the rumors building this week in regards to his health and rising neck issues stemming from last year’s injury, WWE elected to pull Daniel Bryan from the rest of the current European tour, effective immediately.
Reports from the recent tour tapings and house shows have stated that Bryan has appeared to be heavily protected. He made a brief appearance on Raw this past Monday that saw no in-ring action and when in the ring during house shows and this weeks’s Smackdown taping, he has taken little to no bumps.
What this means in terms of his future and his current reign, plus the status of the Intercontinental Belt as a whole remains to be seen. It could be too early to speculate, but the fact that WWE is pulling one of his most over and most talented stars from a biannual tour that’s always hotly anticipated speaks volumes. Here’s to hoping that things pan out and that Bryan is able to be cleared soon.
