Bilmuri has dropped their newest album Kinda Hard, which is the intro track on this new record. As the name suggests, it is in fact ‘kinda’ hard. The intro of the album sets a pretty heavy tone that’s metal core leaning, with the caw of an eagle every now and then which had me laughing so hard the first time I heard it.

Their Instagram bio currently states “deathcore/ambient/post-jazz” as the descriptor for their genre, and honestly songs like “ TWICE” sum that up perfectly. Bilmuri impresses me because they do something really well that I greatly admire, which is to blend genres of music genres that don’t seem like they’d blend well together. As usual, that is perfectly represented in this album musically. Lyrically, the album leans more into some emo lyrics. The album speaks to relationship troubles and the complex feelings that arise from the push and pull of wanting to be with someone, but hating them at the same time.

My personal favorite songs off the record are  “TWICE”, “ALWAYS LET U DOWN ft ADTR” and “MORE THAN HATE”. Alongside the new record, they announced they’ll be embarking on a world tour with dates in North America, Europe/ the UK, New Zealand and Australia. They’ll be joined by bands like Knuckle Puck, The Home Team, Thornhill, Vianova, GANG! And more as it seems part of the announcement poster is blurred currently. The first leg of the tour is already underway, to buy tickets you can visit www.bilmuri.com .

Let us know if you’ll be attending and what your favorite songs are off the new record!
