Hello folks it’s time for more with week 4 on the horizon. This is about the time of the year we really start to feel who has it and who doesn’t. Can these teams figure it out before they find themselves on the outside of the playoff picture looking in? Let’s blend our analytical thinking with our gut feeling and knee jerk reactions into making a fun and profitable battle against the oddsmakers of lands unknown.
Upset of the Week
Carolina Panthers (+190) over Cincinnati Bengals (-220): The Panthers evolved from feline prey into razor clawed, sharpened teeth, and a winning football team with the benching of Bryce Young and the elevation of the flaming red haired veteran Andy Dalton. He seems to inspire a sense of confidence and the team follows him. Don’t be surprised if they shock a rather dysfunctional albeit talented Bengals team.
Moneylines
New Orleans Saints (+125) over Atlanta Falcons (-145): After a well fought loss to the Eagles the saints are rolling into this contest a little banged up. Most of the starts appear on track to play, but not at a 100 percent. I do believe a wounded animal is the most dangerous animal. I expect them bayou boys to grit their teeth and gut out a win over the wild card that is the Falcons.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-140) over Indianapolis Colts (+120): Fields has handled the pressure well and has made a claim for QB 1 as the Steelers remain undefeated and find themselves up against a Colts team who is no easy out. I do expect to see a shadow cast Lucas Oil Stadium and that shadows origin is the steel curtain that came to town. With playmakers and superstars spread around the 11 man defensive starting unit I don’t foresee any avenue of sustained success for a suspect Colts offense.
Prop and Parlay Phelan
CJ Stroud and Joe Burrow 270+ passing yards each. (+330): CJ always comes in to sling and Joey Cool is going have to air out with the surprise show I’m suspecting the Panthers to put on.
Texans, Vikings, and Cardinals (+380): Texans do their part and win a favorited match up, the Vikings continue there insurgence to a NFC powerhouse, and the Cardinals handle the rookie Jayden Daniels well enough to get the W. All equating to a healthy pay out for us.
Well that’s the conclusion of week 4’s desire for more. By more I mean more winning off of your bet slips.
