Bilmuri dropped their newest single “Always Let You Down” in collaboration with A Day To Remember on Friday the 13th (hehe), and it is my personal favorite song the band has put out.
In conjunction with this song, they dropped an incredibly funny music video. The general gist is an unsanctioned backyard medieval joust, with both the band’s lead singers. I won’t spoil it beyond that, it is truly a cinematic masterpiece that we have, for your convenience of course linked.
I will be honest in saying I’m not the biggest Bilmuri fan, however the drop of this song made me want to listen to their stuff, leaving me super thankful I came across this single that led me there. The vibe of the song musically is almost that of a pop punk meets country meets metalcore in the best way possible. Bilmuri does an incredible job blending these genres seamlessly here, while A Day To Remember adds a hardcore edge to the song that is the perfect thing to finish off this single.
Not only is this song well loved by this journalist, but this song also came in No. 1 as Bilmuri’s biggest streaming record in a single day. Bilmuri will be hitting the road this year with The Home Team, and Gang! from April to July across the US – so if you’re interested in seeing them now’s your chance.
