SOMME, a Californian indie-pop artist has just released a new single off of her self-titled debut EP due out May 4th. “Ordinary Fools” showcases the multi-instrumetalist’s talent in song writing.

Jordan Cantor is SOMME. She debuted the new single and it’s music video with Buzzbands.la.

“I started this song on a train when I was looking back on a relationship that I had wished for a while would come to fruition but never did.” she tells Buzzbands.la. “When I hear the intro synth sounds I remember being on that train in upstate New York in Mid October when all the leaves were changing.”

This isn’t the only love song we’ve fallen head over heals with of Cantor’s. Her 2017 single “Long Time” is an LQBTQ love song that tells the emotional tale of a dead end relationship.

The moody electronic indie notes draw you in closer while Cantor’s vulnerable lyrics and raw vocals captivate the listener. Her sound is similar to that of Lorde and Fleetwood Mac. Her recent singles give a foreshadow of Cantor’s success and talent emerging in the industry.

In the music video for “Ordinary Fools”, the aesthetic of the pine forest surrounds Cantor. The table that is seemingly set for two, but left only occupied by one hints at the overarching deep emotions towards relationships that Cantor has touched on.

With three singles out, Cantor prepares to debut her self-titled EP on May 4th. You can watch the music video for “Ordinary Fools” below, and follow SOMME on Facebook and Twitter for more updates!
