The Pit Media, LLC is dedicated to bringing quality sports coverage and photos, exclusive interviews with musicians, in-depth video game reviews and features pertaining to film and television to visitors and fans of the website.

Founded in March 2013 by Damien Dennis, former sports editor of The Oakland Post and the Effingham & Teutopolis News Report, The Pit covers the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Michigan Wolverines, Oakland Golden Grizzlies, Florida State Seminoles, Columbus Crew SC and the International Champions Cup.

Writers and columnists also discuss news from the realms of entertainment, with coverage including events like Rock On The Range, Riot Fest, Chicago Open Air, C2E2 and Motor City Comic Con.  All contributors are  writers and photographers in the realm of journalism or creative writing.

Owner of The Pit Media, LLC. Damien is an award-winning sports journalist currently employed full-time by Tribune Publishing. He is a part-time sports information specialist with Joliet Junior College. He is a former Heisman Trophy voter and a member of the Football Writers Association of America. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Oakland University and a Masters of Arts in Sports Administration from Northwestern University.
