[dropcap]R[/dropcap]eports started flowing in last night that during a match against Kane in Dublin, Ireland last night, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins may have injured himself after attempting to do a Sunset Flip Powerbomb, which is by no means an easy feat when performing it on someone well over your size.
Based on video footage posted by fans online, it appears that he botched during the first attempt and landed on his right leg incorrectly.
Damn man, @WWERollins might be injured. #WWEDublin pic.twitter.com/R5ZstuXW3X

WWE.com is now reporting that during the match Rollins tore his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus and therefore will be unable to defend his title against Roman Reigns at this month’s Survivor Series PPV. Recovery time for these sorts of injuries is anywhere from six to nine months.
It does appear that Roman’s time has come to hold that belt. However, Creative is notorious for shifting gears and changing endings at the last possible second, hence why Rollins has the belt to begin with. John Cena is currently on a requested leave of absence, but WWE has called him back from injuries and vacations early in the past and could likely do so again. Also, bear in mind, Sheamus is currently holding the Money in the Bank briefcase and could potentially cash in on the winner at Survivor Series or anytime after. Rumors have also been abound that Creative is currently trying to figure out what to do with Dean Ambrose, so his time may have finally come as well. We could also potentially see a character change in either him or Roman, since fans have been clamoring for one of them to go heel. There are dozens of outcomes that could spring from this situation.
In any possible case, we here at The Pit: Sports and Entertainment wish luck to the potential winner and wish Rollins the best in a speedy recovery.
