[dropcap]S[/dropcap]hinedown has been working on their fifth record for a number of months now, and fans are finally able to get their first taste.
Monday, the band released the first single and video off the album entitled “Cut The Cord.” The song is reminiscent of older material in ways, coming off as a blend of Leave A Whisper meets Sound Of Madness. According to vocalist Brent Smith, the song is about forging your own path and creating your own destiny.

Shinedown begin a tour run in July that will see the group hit places like Detroit, Chicago and Indianapolis.
