[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he New Year opens with a bang as the unexpected musical collaboration of hip-hop icon Kanye West and music legend Paul McCartney reveals itself.

“Only One” is the first of hopefully many available recordings between the two musicians, who entered the studio together in early 2014.

A brainstorming session between McCartney and West led to the former improvising on the keyboards with Kanye shaping ideas lyrically. The two recorded the sample and upon playing it back, were blown away by what they heard.

“Only One” is available now via iTunes, but listen to it below and let us know what you think.
