Netflix is getting set to tickle its users’ funny bones this Fall by streaming new exclusive stand-up comedy specials, they announced. Joining Chelsea Handler’s “Uganda Be Kidding Me: Live” (premiering October 10) are Jim Jeffries, Bill Burr, Chelsea Peretti, and the legendary Bill Cosby.

Handler’s special was announced first, but the first out of the gate will Jim Jeffries with “BARE,” premiering Friday August 29 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific. Filmed live at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston, the show follows Jefferies’ successful live, international “Day Streaming Tour” and is a follow up to his three previous stand-up performances: “Jim Jefferies: Alcoholocaust,” “Jim Jefferies: Fully Functional” (currently streaming on Netflix), and “Jim Jefferies: I Swear to God” (available on Netflix DVD).

Expect a bevy of off-color jokes about everything from politics to sex, orgies to fatherhood, and even Neil Diamond.

Handler’s special, which she co-executive produces, will also debut at 12:01 a.m., on Fri. Oct. 10, on Netflix. Her stand-up performance is the culmination of her Uganda Be Kidding Me World Tour, in support of her bestselling book of the same name. With the accompaniment of photographic visual aids, she will sound off on a variety of topics, including her travels, ridiculous people she knows, and (yes) dolphin rape.

A different Chelsea, Chelsea Peretti of Brooklyn 99, is expected to reimagine the genre for Netflix. Peretti will bring unique writing, delivery, and physicality to dark but silly material on November 14 (yes, at 12:01 a.m.). Her special entitled “One of the Greats” was filmed in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine Arts, and showcases Peretti’s many talents and passions – acting, stand-up, writing, and motorcycles.

Bill Cosby also taped his latest special “Bill Cosby 77” (in honor of his birthday) in San Francisco at the SF Jazz Center. The comedy legend will bring his signature take on marriage, relations, and children to Netflix on November 28. The special was directed by Robert Townsend (Meteor Man).

And on Friday December 5th, Bill Burr takes the stage in Atlanta for “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way,” his fourth hour-long special, exclusively on Netflix. This is a follow-up to previous performances such as “You People Are All the Same” and “Let It Go,” which are available through the service.

Netflix is the world’s leading Internet television network with over 50 million members in more than 40 countries who enjoy more than one billion hours of TV and movies a month, for a low fee. They can watch as much as they want on just about any device with an Internet connection – playing and pausing without commercials.

Lisa Nishimura, vice president of original documentary and comedy programming at Netflix, is confident viewers will be in hysterics over this latest offering to their queues.

“We are thrilled to bring this diverse slate of talent and their unique, multi-faceted and hilarious points of view exclusively to our members around the world,” she said.
