Emmy Award-Winning Director and Producer Nick Nanton, Esq. and Producer JW Dicks teamed up with Shaina Koren and Mike Esposito, independent filmmakers and co-founders of Shaina Koren Cinematography, to produce the feature-length documentary, “The Rebound.”
The film follows members of wheelchair basketball team “Miami Heat Wheels” as they discover their strengths on their way to become league champions.
Throughout the film, team members freely show the emotional impact of their journey on and off the court as they overcome the obstacles presented by their physical disabalities.

“We first discovered the sport in mid 2012 when we met the coach of the Miami Heat Wheels,” they said in a press release. “After meeting the players and witnessing the sport in action, our curiosity took control and we began filming to uncover a deeper story.”
