[dropcap]T[/dropcap]housand Foot Krutch are no strangers to the modern rock scene. Since forming in 1997, the band has continuously climbed upward on the hard rock mountain; with their most recent record, ‘The End Is Where We Begin’ being the group’s most universally acclaimed release to date.

Now, TFK are primed and ready to release their first album in over two years. ‘Oxygen: Inhale’ will be released independently by the band through TFK Records on August 26.

For their upcoming release, Thousand Foot Krutch is calling upon the “TFK Army’ of fans to contribute to this project through a goal-driven PledgeMusic campaign. TFK had previously orchestrated the second biggest Kickstarter campaign to date for ‘The End Is Where We Begin’ and once again want to involve the fans in the release their new album. Contributors to the campaign will have access to the pre-order for the album, as well as exclusive content and incentives from the band. And to make things interesting, the campaign goal for ‘Oxygen: Inhale’ is just $1.

“Why one dollar? Because we are going to do this anyway…for you guys,” says Trevor McNevan to the band’s fans. “The difference is that we need your help to take the marketing and promotion to a whole new level.  We believe we have our best record brewing from the studio and we need your help to get it out there.”

“Oxygen is our lifeline,” continues McNevan, reflecting on the impetus behind the new record. “It’s what keeps us alive and breathing. Most of us spend our entire lives taking half breaths when we were created to take full breaths. To live life to its fullest, to treat every day like it might be our last, and treat other people the same way. We can’t see it, but we need it. It exists. It fuels everything we are.”

Those looking to contribute to the PledgeMusic campaign for ‘Oxygen: Inhale’ can do so at www.pledgemusic.com/projects/tfk.
