Many fans were soaked with rain and shivering from the cold but that didn’t stop them from waiting in line all day just to get a spot pushed up next to the gate. Everyone filed in with anticipation and excitement, packing The Orbit Room (I haven’t seen it this way in awhile.)

The other bands on the bill included Nothing More and Middle Class Rut. To say the least, I was very impressed with Nothing More’s set. With their energetic antics and shirtless choreographed stunts I was left speechless. Every member was filled with ridiculous amounts of energy that bounced off of them and on to the crowd.

Middle Class Rut is a two-man-band from California. I wasn’t expecting much from them in the beginning but once they played their first song “New Low” I was drawn in. I found myself looking up their music on YouTube right after the show.

Chevelle released their new album La Gargola in early April with hit songs such as “Ouija Board” “Take Out the Gunman” and “Hunter Eats Hunter.”

During their hour and a half set they managed to play 17 songs. Starting out with Sleep Apnea from their 2009 album Sci-Fi Crimes. The crowd went insane for the old favorite. Screaming every word and chanting for more.

The stage was filled with peculiar artifacts which were inspired from the new album. Deer heads, skeletons, and gargoyles produced an eerie  feeling while they were on stage.

The crowd was going insane for the new album. Singing every song word for word and crowd surfing. Lead vocalist, Pete Loeffler was asking  the crowd to put their hands in the air and to clap with the beat. He got what he asked for, to say the least. The Orbit Room was pumping with excitement.

Everything seemed to fit together so well, with passionate drumming and strumming Chevelle did not disappoint, along with their special guests- Nothing More and Middle Class Rut.
