Summerfest kicks its 50th year into high gear

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan and more will headline Summerfest's 50th anniversary in Milwaukee over 11 days this summer....

Milwaukee is once again hosting “The World’s Largest Music Festival” as Summerfest is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Summerfest announced over 100 acts that will attract people with the most diverse music likes. Housing 11 stages, this year’s lineup includes classic greats like Peter Frampton, The Moody Blues, Steve Miller Band, Collective Soul and Blues Traveler but also larger recent acts like Shinedown, A Day to Remember, AWOLNATION, Highly Suspect and Chevelle.

Rocking the American Family Insurance Amphitheater this year are greats Red Hot Chili Peppers with special guests Deerhoof and Jack Irons. Tom Petty and Heartbreakers with special guest Chris Stapleton will have the stage for two days, and the incredible Bob Dylan will also grace the stage.

Summerfest has joined forces with Jimmy Kimmel Live! to bring live music to the masses all over the world via online platforms. With this major collaboration, the late night host will have access to performances and will be making them available worldwide fans, totally free of charge.

Each year, Summerfest plays host to over 850,000 people from all over the world, featuring not only big music acts but also local and emerging talent, that all together adds up to over 800 acts over the 11-day festival.
