The new location of the Full Throttle Saloon for 2016

Sturgis, South Dakota has been long known as the Mecca of Motorcycles. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people flock to Sturgis for the yearly rally.

Last year, a month after the 75th anniversary of the rally, a fire destroyed one of the most iconic venues in Sturgis history. The Full Throttle Saloon, a.k.a. the “World’s Largest Biker Bar”, burned to the ground in September 2015 and no one knew what the future would be for the Sturgis landmark.

Full Throttle Saloon proprietors Michael & Angie Ballard and partner Jesse James Dupree will re-build the Full Throttle Saloon at a new 600 acre location which will allow the owners to host RVs and unlimited campers for the first time in the saloon’s history. They plan on naming it “The Pappy Hoel Campground” in honor of the Sturgis Rally founder.

In addition to this huge announcement, the Ballards and Dupree have also confirmed the headliners at FTS for the 76th Annual Sturgis Rally. The Performers include Ted Nugent, Zakk Wylde and Dupree’s own Jackyl. They have also commented that more performers will be announced in the months to come.

For years, FTS has been at the same location on a 30-acre plot, with a different location, the former Broken Spoke Campground, and a whopping 600 acres to play with, one can only imagine what the trio of owners has in store for the next rally. They will host the inaugural opening day on Friday, July 29th, 2016.

Reservations are available as they break ground this week by calling 605-490-2140 or clicking here: www.fullthrottlesaloon.com.
