pleasure of going to see Mayday Parade on the first day of their tour in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>The Fall tour is a 10 year anniversary of their first EP &#8220;Tales Told By Dead Friends&#8221;, with openers Modern Chemistry, a refreshing new addition to my Spotify playlist.<\/p>\n<p>As expected, Mayday started their set by playing the EP in full including a bonus song included on the anniversary edition that had never been played before. Out of the 17 songs performed, three had never been played live before including &#8220;The Problem With The Big Picture Is That It&#8217;s Hard To See&#8221;, &#8220;Look Up And See Infinity, Look Down and See Nothing&#8221;, and &#8220;The Memory&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The setlist catered to fans who had been listening to Mayday Parade for years with only two songs from their newest album and many tracks that aren&#8217;t normally performed on tour as the crowd went wild every time they realized which song was starting to be played.<\/p>\n<p>At one point in the set, singer Derek Sanders took a moment to reflect on the past ten years taking note of the last time they played the small venue in downtown Orlando was almost 8 years ago and how crazy it is that an EP he wrote with his friends 10 years ago as a 19 year old could have taken them as far as they have come.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a chance over the next week or so to catch these guys on their sold out tour, I highly recommend doing so as they finish the tour the day before Thanksgiving in their hometown of Tallahassee, FL.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mayday Parade is currently touring for the 10th anniversary of their first EP, &#8220;Tales Told By Dead Friends.&#8221; Check out photos from their Orlando show.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":51,"featured_media":14797,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,982],"tags":[6090,6091],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.8 -
