The wait is over!
Lollapalooza announced its lineup for 2026 on Tuesday and what a nice St. Patrick’s Day surprise it is. This year is headlined by Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, Lorde, Tate McRae, John Summit, The XX, Jennie and The Smashing Pumpkins. The lower card features a lot of heavy hitters and crowd favorites, such as Turnstile, Zara Larsson, Lil Uzi Vert and Julia Wolf.
Lollapalooza returns to Grant Park in Chicago July 30 through August 2, and ticket presale opens on Thursday, March 19 at 10am CST. Signup now at lollapalooza.com.

Instant analysis
There’s a lot to like and a lot to dislike on this year’s Lollapalooza lineup.
As someone who’s attended annually since 2019, this may be the first year where I know more than 30 artists on the card. Turnstile is at the top of the list for me, with acts like Yungblud, Loathe, Hot Mulligan, 5 Seconds of Summer and Ethel Cain rounding out the must-sees on my list.
BBNO$ is oddly on this list as well, solely due to my being a SMOSH fan and his many guest appearances. Julia Wolf performed last fall at Riot Fest just across town, and I’ll be sure to catch her again as well. Zara Larsson and Geese are on my radar.
The headliners seem relatively lackluster this year. I am excited to see Charli XCX and The Smashing Pumpkins hit the nostalgia flavor (met members of the band in the 90’s at a Cracker Barrel in Michigan). I’ve seen The XX at the Q101 Lounge years ago, but to date that’s been my only interaction with the band.
Tate McRae does nothing for me. We watched her a few years back at Lollapalooza and I can’t put my finger on it, I am just not wowed by her music or performance.
I generally listen to all the artists on the bill in the weeks prior, but I am largely unfamiliar with the rest of the headliners.
Another criticism that jumped out early is the lack of hip-hop and rap acts this year, with Lil Uzi Vert being the most notable name. Year’s past, we’ve seen Megan Thee Stallion, Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin and Future, Denzel Curry and Tyler the Creator to name a few. Seems like an odd move to not have more representation in the genre.
But hey – we’ve already signed up for the presale and we’ll see you there!
