In the words of Metallica, it was the worst kept secret out there but the rumors are in fact true. The heavy metal giants will be hitting the road this summer for a tour across America and parts of Canada to continue their WorldWired Tour in support of their new record “Hardwired…To Self Destruct” and joining them will be Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat. Gojira will join in place of Volbeat on select dates.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 17 at 10 am EST. Metallica “Fifth Members” will have access to pre sale tickets that begin this Wednesday. The tour kicks off May 10 in Baltimore at M&T Stadium and will make stops in Detroit, New York, Baltimore and many other major cities including headlining the final day of the sold out Rock on The Range festival May 21.
