August Burns Red is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut studio album Thrill Seeker in a big way.

The Grammy-nominated five-piece is set to release a re-recorded version of Thrill Seeker on January 24 featuring vocalist Jake Luhrs for the first time.

“When I joined the band in early 2006, I often spoke about how I’d love to do vocals on a studio recording of Thrill Seeker,” Luhrs said via press release. “I did the majority of the touring on the album and always felt a deep connection to it. As the 20 year anniversary of the album approached, we decided to finally give Thrill Seeker a facelift. It was such a rewarding experience to dust these songs off and give them new life. This album changed the course of my life and I can’t wait for fans to hear this.”

The original recordings of Thrill Seeker, which dropped in November 2005, featured vocalist Josh McManness before he left the group the following year.

Producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland have assisted August Burns Red in re-recording the album, which will be self-released via ABR Records.

August Burns Red also dropped a lyric video for “Your Little Suburbia Is In Ruins” today.
