Phelan The Pressure

Week 3 of the NFL may seem early to start writing teams off, but falling from 0-2 to 0-3 drastically drops play off chances. So expect a dog fight from teams who have started slow.

Welcome to I Got A Phelan tackling week 3 of NFL action.

This has been a rather hectic week in personal affairs, so the NCAA coverage had to be delayed for another week, but I’m here for you with a some pro predictions on the professional players performances. If you followed along last week your wallet should have felt a little heavier as the upset of the week and several other of my prognostications became reality. It’s time play fortune teller again y’all.

UPSET OF THE WEEK

L.A Rams (+240) over San Francisco 49ers (-285): Can this weeks proverbial underdog experience the same serendipitous turn of events as last weeks unsung hero of the week?

In a game with several big stars sidelined on both teams. Samuel, McCaffery, and Kittle for the 49ers and Kupp, Nacua, and potentially Bobby Brown for the Rams. I expect this one to come down to the more experienced and talented QB to navigate their rag tag squad of next man up’s to victory. The man with that slightly more than daunting task is Mr. John Matthew Stafford. Known to always carry his lunch pale and hard hat with him.. I expect him to stop the bleeding that’s wounded his squad thus far. Turning 0-2 into 1-2.

MONEY LINES

Philadelphia Eagles (-120) over New Orleans Saints (-140): If being a Raiders fan has taught me anything it’s that life is full of disappointments and Derek Carr can go from MVP caliber to barely practice squad worthy any given week. That on top of the increasingly warming seats of some of the cogs of the Eagles organization should be more than enough motivation to crank up the pressure and cause car to start seeing ghost to the point it spooks him into thrown to the jersey of the opposition.

Baltimore Ravens (-121) over the Dallas Cowboys (+101): Another 0-2 team that pretty well no one predicted is the new and improved Lamar Jackson and his Ravens flock. The Cowboys I still feel can be a legit threat in the NFC, but they are lacking a specific edge that’s needed to take a team to that level. Instead of biting down with clinched teeth they have been attempting to gum their opponents to death… With a lackluster rushing attack taking on the best rushing defense I foresee the Ravens knocking that exponentially disheartening 0 in the win column into a more enticing 1.

PROP AND PARLAY OF THE WEEK

Nico Collins and Mike Evans 1+ TD each. (+330): An emerging hot shot Texan and a smooth and steady long time superstar Buccaneer in Evan’s both find 6 points to add to their resumé this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, and the Buffalo Bills. (+400): A slight favorite, a slight underdog, and a heavy favorite equal a healthy payout. Ride with this parlay for a chance to find treasure in your sports book expedition.
