Hello folks and may I just start off by saying I am beyond excited to bring my increasingly more inclusive sportsbook article into the realm of combat sports. I hold MMA near and dear to my heart, growing up with a wrestling background and expanding that in the Army and the combative training courses they offer.
There has always been something about seeing someone’s lights go dark from a strike or body limp from a choke that is just artistic in my eyes. Hence the name Mixed Martial Arts.
Since then, I’ve added kickboxing and Muay Thai as arts I practice avidly. No pro fights, but it’s proven a very useful tool to say the least. Do yourself a favor and join the culture. Where it’s mono-e-mono, heart versus heart, and mind over matter. Plus if you follow my guide you’ll learn how to protect yourself, your loved ones, and win some money along the way.
If there’s a knock out to be delivered or a submission to cranked you’ll read about it here first. Well before the action even begins.
UFC 302 MAKHACHEV VS. POIRIER
Will “The Diamond” finally claim the gold strap in a fight against the ever formidable Islam Makhachev? Will Sean Strickland bounce back from his championship loss or will Paulo Costa send him into a free fall? Those are just a few questions I’ll be answering for you as I help breakdown some of the most intriguing fights this card has to offer. Method of victories, upsets, and parlays all to be decipher all to help add some dollar signs to your bank account. Even if it comes at the expense of another human beings teeth…
Parlay Payouts
Here I will put together some fighter money lines that I feel offer the best pay outs with the given odds. No methods of victories or round predictions here. Just a few arms I expect to be raised.
Raposo, Price, and Kopylov. (+740): Two favorites and a upset. Such a spectacular way to build a parlay. Analytical determination and a feel for the underdog will help this prediction pay out.
Perez, Brown, and Jailton Almeida. (+250): If you prefer to err on the side of caution then this parlay is for you. Three favorites in their respective bouts all do what they are suppose to do. Win.
Submission Of The Night
Kevin Holland over Michal Oleksiejczuk (+250): After being rather embarrassed my Michael Venom Page for 3 rounds I expect Holland to come into this one angry and exploit the weakness in his opponents MMA game. Michal sports a 1-5 submission W-L record and I expect it to be 1-6 when all is said and done. As a bonus call I’m saying it’ll be VIA D’Arce Choke. Giving him 3 in the UFC. One shy of Vicente Luque record of 4.
KO Of The Night
Paulo Costa over Sean Strickland (+375): What happens when unorthodox meets unorthodox? A KO I’m assuming. While this fight is bound to be entertaining I expect Costa’s creative striking to break Strickland’s Philly Shell. There will ne blows exchange, but I think Costa finds a home for his spinning heel kick that almost finished Robert Whittaker right on Sean’s temple. A big win and a big bonus.
Upset Of The Night
Dustin Poirer VIA KO over Islam Makhachev (+625): While the urge to say Dustin by Guilly was there I will stick to the outcome I believe will actually happen. In what is nearing the end of an illustrious career there’s one thing left for “The Diamond” to do. Win the Undisputed UFC Lightweight Championship. Many write this warrior off simply to how he faired versus Khabib. Islams primary trainer. There’s one big difference though in this matchup. Islam has been knocked out before.. That and he’s much more comfortable in the stand up than his predecessor. Sounds like a good thing right? Not when arguably the best boxer in the UFC is on the other side of the octagon. I feel Islam will get trapped trying to prove a point that he can stand and bang with the best of them instead of relying on his superior Dagestan bred wrestling. All this spells a story book ending for one of the sports best entertainers and one of the best brawlers.
Round Predictions of Methods Of Victories
- Kevin Holland VIA Submission in round 3 (+1400)
- Paulo Costa VIA K.O. In round 2 (+1200)
- Dustin Poirer VIA K.O. In round 1 (+1800)
