WNBA teams got some insight Sunday on where they might stand in spring selection. With balls numbered from 1 to 14 shuffled through the lottery machine, drawn and reshuffled, until the teams’ fate was decided by lottery draw.
For the second year in a row, the Fever won the lottery for first pick in the WNBA draft. The team found out they will have the first selection on April 15. The second through fourth picks, in order, are the Los Angeles Sparkes, Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm.
Caitlin Clark – who last week became the 15th NCAA Division I player of all time to hit the 3,000 point mark – is the projected first choice pick in the 2024 draft.
