Hello y’all and welcome to the IGAP championship weekend guide. This one’s going to be short and sweet due to the lack of the games and the fact my wife and I have just had a newborn who is if I say so myself the perfect little guy. Understandably my brain is kind of mush, but I’m here to give y’all my best and that’s what I’m going do. That or I’ll just hand him my phone and see which teams he puts his finger on first. I kid I kid. Although I can already hear my publisher’s sarcastic “he’d probably do better” comments. Which is impressive as he is in Illinois and I am in fact in Missouri. Anyways let’s try and make some championship coin today and dive into this!
Upset Of The Day
Oklahoma State (+545) over Texas (-725): Oklahoma State is going cowboy up and ride the long horns into the ground and breaking a rushing defense that only bends. The Cowboys have the top rusher in the nation and Texas has one of the best rushing defenses. Something has gotta give. The Cowboys should be motivated to wish Texas a farewell from the Big 12 and what better way than snatching the championship and ending any hope they may have at the CFP.
Callin Them All
Oklahoma State, Georgia, Tulane, Michigan, And Florida State (+3000): Why not lay it all out and try to call em all. I got the championship fever and am serving this 5 course parlay in hopes of looking like a sports book GOD. Yeah yeah I know the odds are far, but I’m trying to have a Phelan here!
Wolverine Winner
Blake Corum at least 102 rushing yards and at least two TD’s: Iowa defense is stout on all fronts, but I especially see McCarthy having his struggles today. So expect Corum to take the work load and get Michigan past these Hawkeyes and into the freaking CFP!!
This was a condensed article this week and I will drop an NFL edition later on. Life’s been crazy, but I didn’t feel right giving y’all something on such an important slate of games. I wish all the best of luck as we watch the December decimation of some teams last hope of achieving the goals they set before that first whistle, of that first practice, in that scorching summer heat. As always stay safe, have fun, and good luck to all.
