Concord Music Hall welcomes Sixx A.M.

Legendary bassist Nikki Sixx, brings his band Sixx A.M. to the Concord Music Hall in Chicago for a night filled with classics....

The house lights go dim at Concord Music Hall in Chicago and one by one bodies begin to appear through the back light of the stage.  The roar of the crowd gets louder as each member of Sixx A.M. steps to his spot on the stage.  Nikki Sixx, who is the most recognizable of the group appears donning his rock star duds with his leather jacket, bandanna and sunglasses as he has his bass guitar flung over his shoulder ready to rock.  The first note hits to “This Is Gonna Hurt” and the mass of humanity on the main floor put their hands in the air to show their rock allegiance to the Motley Crue god.

Sixx A.M. made sure those fans who came out on a chilly Tuesday night didn’t leave without their ears ringing after their 90 minute set.  The set list was filled with a collection from all their rock hits and fan favorites from the bands three studio albums with jams being played from “The Heroin Diaries”, “This Is Gonna Hurt” and their newest masterpiece “Modern Vintage.”

Sixx A.M. puts on a glorious stage show filled with lights and smoke that highlights the bands emotion that they invoke on stage.  Lead singer James Michael lends his great lyrical writing and a fresh new sound and songs with meaning.   They capped off the evening with a beautiful rendition of the tune that started it all “Life Is Beautiful”.  Be sure to check out Sixx AM this summer while they boys are on tour.
