[dropcap]F[/dropcap]lorida A&M drops its 12th straight road game, this time to North Carolina Central 79-74.
Florida A&M (7-17,3-8) played sound all game, but never managed to get that big run or spark of momentum to defeat the Eagles on the road.
North Carolina (10-15, 5-6) was led by guard Dante Holmes, who went off for 25 points and 12 rebound in 39 minutes of play. Coming off the bench, forward Kyle Benton also had a good game for the Eagles, accounting for 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals.
The Rattlers were led once again by Malcolm Bernard who managed 16 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Justin Ravenel added 13 of his own, while Craig Bowman put up 11.
In the end, this game was decided by free throws, as FAMU was forced to foul the Eagles in hopes that they would choke, then giving the narrow lead up. However North Carolina Central would make seven of eight from the charity strike to close it out, leaving the Rattlers empty handed.
Florida A&M will be heading home to take on the instate rival Bethune-Cookman. The matchup will take place on Saturday at 6 P.M.
