[dropcap]C[/dropcap]olumbus Crew SC announced Wednesday that Ethan Finlay, Wil Trapp and Tony Tchani have accepted senior call-ups to join the United States Men’s National Team during the annual January Camp.
The camp runs from January 11 through February 6, and is the first call-up for both Finlay and Tchani. Tchani had previously turned down a call-up from Cameroon due to injury. This is the second call-up for Trapp. The three Crew SC player’s are the most from any MLS club.
The USMNT has friendlies against Iceland on January 31 and Canada on February 5. The team will train at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., for the remainder of camp.
“This is an excellent start to 2016 for the club and for these players,” said Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. “We are proud of Ethan, Tony and Wil and their efforts in 2015 and these call-ups are well-deserved. We look forward to their success with the National Team and the key roles they will play with our club this season.”
