[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f you’ve ever wondered what your heart tastes like, go out and see an In Flames concert. No, seriously. … Hear me out.

Standing in the photo pit for the first three songs of In Flames’ performance on the Ernie Ball Stage at Rock On The Rage and then out in the crowd was an experience. From the opening rift through the entirety of their set, the overall heaviness of the sound felt as though my heart was leaping out of my chest, climbing up my throat and trying to escape out my mouth so it could join the mosh pit.

A very strange visual, I understand. But that’s what I felt!

In Flames played a short set that featured “Everything’s Gone” and “Paralyzed” off their 2014 release Siren Charms.

Before their set at Rock On The Range, bassist Peter Iwers took a moment to speak with The Pit. Iwers discussed Siren Charms and what songs are his favorite to play off the new record. After noticing he was wearing a Death Star shirt, we go off into a discussion on Star Wars and what he hopes to see from The Force Awakens.

Check out photos from their performance at Rock On The Range below and make sure to listen to The Music Blitz on either iTunes or Stitcher Radio. Also, be sure to support The Pit by visiting audibletrial.com/thepit and sign up for a FREE 30-day trial and a FREE audiobook.
