[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Pretty Reckless, Tremonti and a slew of other bands were added to the Rock On The Range lineup Wednesday morning.
Fronted by Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless make their return after playing on the Ernie Ball Stage at the newly named MAPFRE Stadium for the annual event last year. Mark Tremonti makes a return himself after appearing with Alter Bridge last year.
Festival producers explained in the press release: “Rangers, your rock home is now MAPFRE Stadium, formerly Crew Stadium (pronounced “MAH-fray”). Same rock experience. Same home. New name!”
Joining The Pretty Reckless and Tremonti on the bill are Vamps, The Danger Kids and Highly Suspect. Daily lineups for the ninth annual Rock On The Range event will be announced in April.
Also announced Wednesday is the return of the ROTR Comedy Tent. Comedy legend Rob Schneider will headline this year’s comedy tent. The comedy lineup is rounded out by Brian Posehn, Jim Norton, Don Jamieson, Jim Florentine, Rod Paulette, Jeremy Essig, Brent Terhune, Joe Howard, Bill Squire, Jay Snyder, Bill Arrundale, Jake Iannarino, Kenny Smith and Craig Peters.
Finally, another staple of Rock On The Range returns for 2015 with the Rock On The Range Battle of the Bands. Presented by Ernie Ball, the Battle of the Bands offers unsigned bands a chance to perform on the Ernie Ball Stage at the festival. Additionally, winners will receive over $15,000 in gear and prizes along with an all-expenses paid trip to Columbus for the weekend.
The grand prize winner will receive gear from Electro-Voice, DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Markbass and 1964 Ears, as well as an Ernie Ball Strings endorsement and Music Man instruments. Visit rotr.battleofthebands.
