[dropcap]R[/dropcap]azor & Tie announced Friday the signing of Detroit’s Wilson to it’s roster. Let the Fuckery commence!
Wilson recently completed work on a new album with producer Johnny Andrews in Atlanta. Andrews is known for his work with Halestorm, All That Remains and Three Days Grace
“Wilson is a band that is here to prove rock n roll is still alive and kicking out the jams, motherfuckers!” the band’s vocalist Chad Nicefield commented in a press release from the label. “When we thought about who would be the right label to release this monstrous record we knew that Razor & Tie was the “wham bam, thank you ma’m” home we needed! We share the same hard workin’, nose to the ground, eye to the sky mentality. With our brand spankin’ new crew set to help us take our sweet, sweet fuckery sound to the masses…we can focus on what Wilson was created to do… worldwide devastation.”
The Detroit-natives self-released one album in 2013, Full Blast Fuckery. Following the release, the band built a grass-roots following with a non-stop touring schedule that saw Wilson share the stage with the likes of Theory of a Deadman, GWAR, Jason Newsted and Sevendust.
Wilson played Rock On The Range and Louder Than Life as the only unsigned acts. Wilson is Chad Nicefield (vocals), Jason Spencer (guitar), Kyle Landry( guitar), James Lascu (bass), and Matt Puhy (drums).
The band began an overseas tour with Halestorm and Nothing More on Friday to coincide with their signing to Razor & Tie.
“The guys in Wilson want to rule rock and so do we. We are totally psyched that they have chosen to work with us,” adds Razor & Tie co-owner Cliff Chenfeld.
