Saban Brands creator Haim Saban, who created Power Rangers, will be teaming up with Lionsgate to produce and develop a live-action Power Rangers feature-film.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was launched more than 20 years ago as a live action tv series, and it has grown greatly over the years. As one of the world’s most popular and recognizable brands, Power Rangers has toys, apparel, costumes, video games, DVDs comic books and other merchandise.
With this popularity, Lionsgate and Saban brands knew that the big screen is where the series belongs. The same story of high school kids with unique super powers who save the world will be re-envisioned in this new franchise.
