Adventure-seekers’ wildest dreams are coming true once again with the return of Travel Channel’s “Trip Flip,” a show about trying new things and going off the beaten path during adrenaline-filled trips.
The show’s host, Bert Kreischer, approaches random travelers and asks them to join him on a spontaneous trip with a custom-designed itinerary reflecting their goals and desires.
“It’s about finding and embracing the unexpected within yourself, inspiring new travel experiences and the emotional rewards you reap when trying something so new it scares you!” Kreischer said in a press release.
The first episode of the third season brings two lucky travelers to Idaho, where they try base-jumping, monster surgeon fishing, “skijoring”, where they’re pulled behind a galloping horse while on skis, rock crawling over a natural canyon and riding down a mountain on custom-made bamboo skis.
The second episode, immediately following the first, takes a couple to Costa Rica. The two have to backpack to their destinations where they go zip lining headfirst at 90mph, fish with the locals, go white water rafting, ride horses on the beach, sleep in a jungle treehouse and fly in an open-air gyrocopter.
Other episodes will take travelers to far-off destinations like Paris, Portland, Rio de Janeiro, Switzerland, Alaska and Hawaii.
“Trip Flip” premieres Wednesday, April 23 on the Travel Channel with back-to-back episodes starting at 9 p.m.
