We As Human are the opening act for the 2013 Carnival of Madness, and they set the atmosphere Tuesday night at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI. Touring with bands like In This Moment, Skillet, Papa Roach and Shinedown. We As Human are in incredibly good company.

We As Human formed in 2006 in Nashville, TN with Justin Cordle (Vocals), Adam Osborne (Drums), Jake Jones (Guitar), Justin Forshaw (Guitar) and Dave Draggoo (Bass). The band released their first EP in 2007 independently.

In 2011, they were signed to Atlantic Records. The band released their self titled second EP. They then released their first studio album, self titled as well, in June of this year.

On the Carnival of Madness, they play a short, five song, 20-minute set. Their setlist began with “Sever” and “Dead Man” rounding out the top. Their third song “Zombie” brought out John Cooper of Skillet, a song that he not only appeared with on their record but also helped them record.

Cordle and Cooper danced around the stage feeding off each other’s energy for the performance. The rest of the band had smiles on their face the whole time.

We As Human finished their set with “I Stand” and finally, “Strike Back.” The finale got the crowd involved, with people chanting strike back.

Their energy set the stage for the rest of the night, which was an explosive night of rock music and passion.
