After months of what seemed like silence on not just social media but in the music industry as a whole, Taylor Swift has finally given fans the news they have been waiting for.

Earlier in the week, Swift deleted everything on every social media account, leaving fans beyond excited. After releasing a teaser video of a snake a few days ago, Swift has been letting the anticipation grow until today. She announced a new album, Reputation which is due to release on November 10 this year. Not only that, but the first single from the album will be released this Friday.

The album artwork for this LP is different than what Swift has had before.

With a bold font type that some are comparing to what a rock band would use, it grabs your attention immediately. The album cover features Swift in black and white, with various layers of text repeating her name, mimicking newspaper font.

Swift has remained in the headlines since the release of 2015’s Grammy-winning LP, 1989, busy beefing, dating, donating, and tangling in a well-documented lawsuit with former Colorado radio DJ David Mueller.

Now, just a bit behind her normal schedule of releasing albums every other year, the country-turned-rock megastar is back to doing what she does best.

This new album design makes us wonder if a new sound is in store? Whichever it is, we’re excited to see what’s next.
