Notre Dame releases 2017-18 non-conference schedule

Notre Dame men’s basketball released its 2017-18 non-conference schedule on Thursday. Its sees the return of longtime rivals DePaul, Michigan State, Indiana along with a spot in the 2017 Maui Invitational.

The non-conference schedule is packed with challenging games away from Purcell Pavilion. Among those away games, the season opener against DePaul at the new Wintrust Arena in downtown Chicago. The Irish will take a trip up to the Breslin Center in East Lansing to face the Michigan State Spartans for the ACC/B1G challenge.

The Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis to face off against their in-state rivals Indiana takes place December 16.

There is also a possible matchup against Marquette in the Maui Invitational, which takes place in late November. 

The exhibition season starts with a visit from Bethel College on November 3. Cardinal Stritch makes its first return to Purcell Pavilion since 2012 in the second and final exhibition game.

As for the non-conference home games the Irish will match up against Mount St. Mary’s, Chicago State, St. Francis Brooklyn, Ball State, Dartmouth and Southeast Louisiana during the months of November and December at Purcell Pavilion.

Game times will be announced when the full 2017-18 schedule becomes available in the early fall of 2017. The combination of the ACC opponents has been released while game dates and times will be released with the full schedule.
