Battling for sole-possession of second place in the ACC, No. 19/17 Notre Dame finished the regular season with a loss to No. 8/7 Louisville, 71-64.

Bonzie Colson led the Fighting Irish (23-8, 12-6 ACC) with 20 points while VJ Beachem scored 17. Matt Farrell added 11 points for the Irish.

In a close and dramatic contest, neither team pulled away by more than 8 points at any time, with 12 total lead changes at the KFC Yum Center Saturday afternoon. Louisville’s (24-7, 12-6 ACC) Donovan Mitchell led his side with 20 points.

The Irish shot just 41-percent, with a 7-of-25 mark from beyond the arc. With the loss, the two ACC foes share second-place in the ACC and gave No. 5/5 sole possession of the ACC regular season title and the top-seed in the ACC tournament.
