Dirt Fest is changing venues this year, and it’s digging into its new location with one of its best lineups to date.

After 18 years rocking the Birch Run Expo Center in Flint, the festival moves to the Crofoot Festival Grounds in Pontiac on Saturday, August 13. This year’s iteration is headlined by Killswitch Engage, returning to Dirt Fest after they headlined the hard rock and metal bash in 2014.

Asking Alexandria, Hatebreed, Trivium and Atilla will all be rocking out as some of the other featured acts on the bill as well.

Killswitch is sure to feature plenty of tunes from “Incarnate,” the second album released since the return of vocalist Jesse Leach, released last month. It’s already produced three singles, including the latest, “Cut Me Loose.”

Boston natives Bury Your Dead will be among the supporting acts, reuniting and celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Beauty and the Breakdown,” the band’s best-charting album. Bassist Aaron “Bubble” Patrick and drummer Mark Castillo, a founding member of the group, are both back on board.

Wilson and Walls of Jericho will be among the numerous Michigan natives that will make up the multi-stage festival.

Other acts already announced include: Soil, Beyond Threshold, Heartsick, Psychostick, It Lies Within, The Convalescence, Below The Tide, 6 Prong Paw, Ira Hill, WRVTH, Paralandra, Death Of The Party, Deveraux, Harlow, Five Hundredth Year, Myths And Legends, Dystopian I, HYNGD, As We Divide, Our Dying Day, Sydetrakt and After The Minor. More groups will be announced as the show approaches.

Tickets start at $37 for general admission, with four-packs available at $31.25 each. VIP packages are also available, starting individually at $99 at DirtFest.com.
