[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Fighting Irish have landed another top recruit for the class of 2016, this time in Canadian three-star wide receiver Chase Claypool

Claypool is the top player from Canada, hailing from Abbotsford (BC) High School. The 6-5, 205-pound receiver chose Notre Dame over other top programs, such as Michigan, Oregon and Nebraska.

Despite playing at the wideout position in high school, his role with the Irish has yet to be set. Claypool has the ability to play receiver, tight end or even a defensive end.

Although ranked as a wide receiver, Claypool’s future position is not set. There is talk that he could potentially play receiver, tight end, linebacker or even defensive end at the next level.
