[dropcap]G[/dropcap]rand Rapids tied a franchise record Saturday after the Griffins shutout Chicago 5-0 for the team’s seventh straight road win. During the streak, Grand Rapids has outscored opponents 32-4.

Five different Griffins’ players saw goals in the win. Brian Lashoff earned the first mark at 11:03 of the opening frame when a failed Colin Fraser clear was converted into a low shot through traffic and past Wolves’ goalie Jordan Binnington. The goal marks Lashoff’s first of the season.

Kevin Porter earned his ninth goal of the year at 3:44 into the second period when he took a pass from Landon Ferraro and fired a wrister over the right side of Binnington’s blocker.

Andy Miele converted a power play opportunity at 18:37 of the second. Mark Zengerle found Miele to the left, allowing Miele to find the open net and put it home past a diving Binnington.

That goal would be the last Binnington would allow as the Wolves pulled him for in favor of Matt Climie. Binnington finished with 24 saves on 27 shots.

The move didn’t stop the onslaught for Chicago, however.

Ferraro scored a shorthanded goal for the Griffins after taking the puck from the blue line and moving around Joel Edmundson. He finished with a backhanded shot over Climie’s glove for his 23rd goal this season.

Anthony Mantha’s 11th goal of the year rounded out scoring at 12:17 of the final frame.

Climie made five saves on seven shots while Petr Mrazek turned away all 27 shots for his second straight shutout and third in last five games.

Grand Rapids (33-17-5-1) returns to Van Andel Wednesday for one game against West Division leaders Oklahoma City.
