[dropcap]O[/dropcap]n Sunday, Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce The Veil took Columbus by storm as part of their co-headlining tour aptly named The World Tour.

The sold out Columbus date drew massive crowds to the LC Pavilion in the heart of the arena district where some of the most enthusiastic fans waited in line for upwards of six hours before doors. The current leg of The World Tour features support from the bands PVRIS and Mallory Knox.

The first band to take to the stage was PVRIS – pronounced “Paris” – a female-fronted alternative rock band from Massachusetts. Lead singer Lynn Gunn took a moment to apologize to the crowd because she wasn’t feeling very well that day, but PVRIS didn’t let that hold them back. PVRIS played a selection of songs from their debut album White Noise that was released in November of last year.

The next band on the lineup is that of British band Mallory Knox, whose presence on The World Tour marks their first time touring in the US. Sporting a sound similar to the popular British band Young Guns, Mallory Knox have exceptional stage presence and command the crowd’s attention from start to finish.  Not only do they play catchy tunes, but these boys also connected well with perspective fans by spending the time in the crowd after their set taking pictures with and meeting enthusiastic concert goers.

The first of the headlining acts to take the stage was Florida natives Sleeping With Sirens, who were greeted by ear-piercing approval from their mostly female teenage fan base.  Sleeping With Sirens kicked off their set by playing one of their newest singles, “Kick Me,” which will appear on their upcoming record Madness set to be released by Epitaph Records this March.

Throughout their set, Sleeping With Sirens did a great job of keeping a strong amount of variety, playing fan favorites such as “A Trophy Father’s Trophy Son” and “If You Can’t Hang,” but also slowing things down for songs like their acoustic “Scene Two: Roger Rabbit” and a cover version of The Goo Goo Dolls’ hit “Iris”.

The final and most highly anticipated set of the night was that of San Diego’s post-hardcore sensation, Pierce The Veil.

Playing hits such as “Hell Above” and “Caraphernelia,” it was obvious that both the fans and the band were having the time of their lives. About halfway through their hour-long set, Pierce The Veil front man, Vic Fuentes, dedicated the emotionally driven song “Hold On Till May” to the fans, which just goes to show why they are easily one of the most popular bands currently residing in the scene.

Possibly the biggest highlight of the show, however, was when Fuentes announced to the crowd that he was going to bring a member of the audience on stage to help him out with the song “Bulletproof Love.” Once the fan was onstage, Fuentes serenaded her and even took her hand into his as he vocally gave the song his all, the female fan looked like it was the happiest day of her life.

Following “Bulletproof Love,” the band exited the stage to a chorus of  “one more song!” and returned moments later with Sleeping With Siren’s front man Kellin Quinn for the last song of the evening, “King For A Day” which features Quinn’s vocals.

Overall, The World Tour was a success from start to finish with the perfect lineup of bands to give fans a perfect night to remember.
