Nintendo announced Tuesday that the limited and ultimate limited editions of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask would be available in North America....

Majora's Mask[dropcap]S[/dropcap]everal months ago, we received an announcement from Nintendo that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask would be completely remastered for the 3DS.

Fans everywhere rejoiced as they looked upon the remastered comparisons and basically started throwing their wallets at the screen. An image surfaced on the internet of a limited edition that looked absolutely amazing. A small metal replica of Majora’s Mask, a poster and a steel book case to house your game cartridge.

To many fan’s dismay, they quickly learned this was an exclusive limited edition for Europe only, which wouldn’t be such a problem if the 3DS systems were not region locked.

Until Tuesday.

We received an announcement from Nintendo that North America would be receiving their own Limited and Ultimate Limited Editions of Majora’s Mask, and were even available for pre-order.

The Limited Edition retailing at $49.99 comes with a figurine of the Skull Kid and the Ultimate Limited Edition retails for $89.99 and includes the aforementioned Skull Kid figurine as well as a special edition hardcover strategy guide for the game.

As soon as I heard, I went to Gamestop and chiseled my pre-order in stone making sure I could snag a copy of the Ultimate Limited Edition. It’s a good thing to, because now they are completely sold out.

I, for one, am glad that Nintendo decided to release a Limited Edition in North America, not the same as Europe, but still something we can have as a bonus instead of a standard game case. Hopefully, with the reaction and how fast the pre-orders went for (sold out in about an hour), they will extend some to give more people a chance.

If not, no worries, you will still be able to own the masterpiece on 3DS minus all the extra goodies for $39.99.

Are you excited for this release? I know this version of the Legend of Zelda has a mixed review from fans. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
