[dropcap]T[/dropcap]riple X Cagefighting Featherweight Champion Cody Stamann and challenger Ruben Baraiac both went into their title fight in the main event of TXC: Legends 4 on Saturday night undefeated, but the champion made a rousing statement to remain that way.

Stamann (7-0) had been trying for the head kick several times in the opening rounds, and finally cracked Baraiac with one that floored him in the middle of the third round. He pounced on top of Baraiac (5-1) and the official stopped the contest after some ground and pound to give Stamann the TKO stoppage in the final fight of the night.

Baraiac landed the better strikes in the first round, while both landed multiple takedowns, making it a difficult one for judges to score. Stamann was a clear winner in the second, landing a high kick and again getting Baraiac to the mat.

In the co-feature at the Macomb Music Theatre, crowd favorite Mike Hernandez easily dispatched Giovanni Moljo, opening a cut late in the third round and getting the easy 30-27 unanimous decision from the judges.

In the night’s other title fight, Josh Robinson was dominant in the championship rounds, emerging with a unanimous decision victory (50-45, 50-45, 49-46) to capture the vacant TXC Flyweight Championship in his bout with Nate Williams. Robinson was able to take down and ground Williams throughout most of the fight. PRS scored the contest 49-46 for the winner.
