[dropcap]T[/dropcap]wo stars from reality TV singing competitions took the stage of the Masonic Temple last Friday, and issued a strong stance in the music industry with their captivating performances.

People tire of the unceasing increase in reality singing, dancing, competitions and so on, but when artists can step out of these plotted series and make a true name for themselves, like Dia Frampton and Lindsey Stirling, you know they supply authentic talent and admiration for the music that’s exuded.

At 7:30 p.m., Dia Frampton approached the stage, clad in black, to a simple stage set-up that’s consisted of merely a black backdrop, and keyboards and a drum set to each side of the stage.

Dia’s launch into fame started as a contestant (and eventual runner-up) on the first season of The Voice.

The former lead singer of the band, Meg & Dia got the night circulating with tracks off her 2011 EP, Red, such as, “The Broken Ones” and “Don’t Kick The Chair”. The climax of Dia’s set was the melodic-pop song, “Blood”. Even with the track’s disheartening lyrics; you found empowerment through her lavish voice and heavy instrumentals. That woman has a bright future ahead of her that’s barely just begun.

The audience was hungry for the YouTube sensation to take the stage. The Masonic Temple was scattered by individuals aging from five to 50. This shows attendance and enthusiasm turned out to be music admiration at its finest, and of course, individualism and creativity.

When the entrancing, Lindsey Stirling embarked on the lit-up stage, fans went crazy to discover her amazing musical compilations.

Lindsey strutted her way on stage in a black body suit covered in sequins, skirt to match, and sneakers. Violin in hand, she began to lobby to crowd into an aggregation of electronic, Dubstep, and classical genres into a ball of jubilation among the venue.

In 2010, Lindsey Stirling was a quarter-finalist on season five of America’s Got Talent. During that time, Stirling landed the reputation as a ‘hip-hop violinist.’ But she is heaps beyond that classification. Lindsey tossed, turned and leaped across every inch of that stage as the she played to tracks, “Beyond the Veil” and “Mirror Haus”.

Once the fourth song approached, Lindsey made a costume change on stage, which was slightly bizarre and mildly unconventional. She transitioned from a sequined leotard to a complete neon green bodysuit for the composition of “Night Vision”. Stirling’s two male dancers were clad in the same attire, and as the three of them danced along the stage to the euphoric sounds you felt like you had been transcended into a scene from Alice In Wonderland.

Onward into Lindsey’s set, she spoke of confidence, and its importance to thrive in life. Lindsey personally calls it, “swag”. She also spoke of God, and the impact he has made on her existence. It was beyond inspirational.

The scrumptious entrée of Stirling’s set was the duet performed with Dia Frampton to the single, “We Are Giants”. Frampton’s vocals collaborated with Lindsey’s violin was sublime. This song was the moment each member of the audience jived along, danced and began to coordinate with the energy being discharged from the stage.

To liven up the mood, both the drummer and DJ introduced a dance-off between the two backup dancers, which was quite enthralling and got the audience very engrossed into the performance.

The significant musical essence, which Lindsey Stirling oozes was proved throughout the entire evening. When it came time to perform, “Crystallize” the entire venue behaved like army soldiers; standing up to the command of devotion to Lindsey’s song, talent, love and energy.

Music aside, Lindsey Stirling is a genuine inspiration to music and mankind itself. Her humbleness, grace, and admiration were felted that evening and equally returned by the crowd. The assembling of violin, dubstep, electronic, and dance was comparable to something of Cirque De Soleil.

The entertainment industry has taken Lindsey Stirling far, but it’s easy to see that she can stand/leap/glide along in music by exponential bounds as long as that violin is within her reach.
