[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s the sun broke through the clouds to finally shed some light on the rain-drenched festival goers, Fozzy took the stage to delight older fans and “Fozzy Virgins” alike.

Fozzy played a 4:35 p.m. set on the Jagermeister Stage at Rock On The Range Saturday, lifting the spirits of the soaked fans after a long, cold day of rain and an overcast sky. Before Chris Jericho, Rich Ward and the other boys in the band could even take the stage, crowds chanted YES!, Y2J and Fozzy in anticipation, with security even leading a few of these chants.

The band took the stage to loud Y2J chants directed a Jericho, but as Fozzy began to play those chants faded into Fozzy chants. Jericho ripped the tarp protecting the speakers at the front of the stage off and tossed it to the side so he could better interact with fans while the rest of the band played with a lot of energy on the stage. The band played a series of songs from their various albums over the years, including “Enemy,” “Sandpaper” and “God Pounds His Nails.”

Fozzy played their new single, “Lights Go Out,” which got an epic reaction from the Rangers (term used for Rock On The Range festival goers). Fans continued chanting between songs during Fozzy’s set, putting a smile on the bands faces.

Fozzy is continuing their Lights Go Out Tour 2014 tonight with a stop at The Chameleon Room in Oklahoma City. Their new album, “Do You Wanna Start A War?” is due out later this summer.
