[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ailing from Sacramento, rock band Tesla have just announced that they will be releasing their new album “Simplicity” which will be due out on June 10th this year.

This will mark the 7th studio release for the band, which will be their first release in 6 years. Tesla locked themselves away for weeks writing the new material for this album with Tom Zutaut,(A&R man).

“Simplicity” will feature fourteen tracks which are described as “solid tracks.” Recording for the upcoming release began at bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then called in to put the finishing touches on the album.

Tesla was formed in 1981 in Sacramento, California. The band released their first album as Tesla in 1986, and released 3 more albums until their hiatus in 1994. The hiatus of the band lasted 6 years until 2000 when the band reunited. The band released “Into The Now” in 2004, marking their first release after the hiatus, thus marking another amazing journey for Tesla still going on currently. To this day, Tesla has sold over 14 million albums in the U.S. alone.

Fresh off the Monsters Of Rock Cruise, the band has quite the itinerary of tour dates throughout the rest of 2014. Click herefor all tour dates.
