Wrestlemania XXX one to remember, for sure

Daniel Bryan wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, The Undertaker's streak is ended at 21-1 and he return of three real Superstars at Wrestlemania 30...

wrestlemania-xxx[dropcap]F[/dropcap]or wrestling fans and the WWE, WrestleMania 30 was a lot more than just history and tradition, it was also the reason that hundreds of thousands (if not possibly millions) of people have subscribed to the newly-launched WWE Network.

It’s a critical moment for WWE, because if fans aren’t impressed with WrestleMania and the network, there is a very real possibility that the WWE could regret ending their previous Pay-Per-View format.

Here’s the summary and results for each match of WrestleMania 30.

Daniel Bryan vs Triple H: One of the biggest stories in WWE has been that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon feel that Daniel Bryan isn’t ready to be face of the WWE. In order to attempt to prove Triple H and McMahon wrong, Bryan challenged Triple H to this match. A stipulation was added that the winner would also wrestle in the Main Event later in the broadcast.

The New Age Outlaws and Kane vs The Shield: It’s disappointing that it took longer to write the previous match write up than it did for this match to take place. Expectations shouldn’t have been high for this match, and rightfully so. In less than five minutes, The Shield won without much of a fight being put up by The Outlaws and Kane.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Having 30 people in a ring makes it practically impossible to track whats going on in the ring, but it was nice to see the WWE pay tribute to Andre the Giant. In the end, the guy who was basically modeled as the second coming of Andre the Giant (The Big Show) was eliminated by Antonio Cesaro, who impressively threw the 425-pound wrestler over the top rope.

Bray Wyatt vs John Cena: In this match, one of the biggest names in wrestling (Cena) faced one of WWE’s rising stars (Wyatt). The match came to be as part of an intriguing story line where Wyatt all but guaranteed the demise of Cena. The plot will have another twist added to it, as Cena pulled the upset and defeated Wyatt.

Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker: Brock Lesnar finally got his chance to snap The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania and put himself in wrestling immortality. Although this match may have been a lot more entertaining if it took place ten years ago, it would end up creating one of the most memorable moments in WrestleMania history. In one of the biggest upsets in WrestleMania history, Brock Lesnar was able to defeat The Undertaker, thus ending his undefeated streak at WrestleMania. With a record of 21-1 at WrestleMania, one can’t help but wonder if this marks the end of The Undertaker’s wrestling career.

Vicky Guerrero’s Women’s Invitational Championship: In this battle royal-esque match, the first person to either pin or get another opponent to submit would be the new Women’s Champion. No upsets were to be found here, as reigning champion AJ Lee won the match via submission.

Daniel Bryan vs Dave Batista vs Randy Orton: After earning his way into the triple-threat match, Daniel Bryan not only faced Batista and Orton, but also an attempt by Stephanie McMahon and Triple H to sabotage the match. None of that proved to be enough, as Daniel Bryan won the match via submission, finally winning the WWE Championship.

WrestleMania 30 will be known for a lot of things, but can best be summarized as the WrestleMania of beginnings and endings. Not only did WrestleMania 30 mark the likely ending of a legend’s career, it also marked the beginning of Daniel Bryan’s reign as WWE Champion and the true face of the WWE. It may not go down in history as the most memorable WrestleMania in history, but if nothing else, it gave wrestling fans plenty to talk about.
