Currently touring with Demi Lovato as the opening act on her Neon Lights tour, Lloyd broke away for a small solo show in support of her new album, “Sorry I’m Late,” due to be released on May 27.

Lloyd started her 14 song, hour and 15 minute set off strong with “Swagger Jagger,” from her debut album “Sticks + Stones,” which was released in the United States in 2012.

Lloyd was dressed in a black, sparkly crop-top, shiny black track pants and Nike tennis shoes.  To complete her ensemble, the singer wore a colorful necklace and had a head full of perfectly bouncy curls to off-set her seemingly tomboy appearance.

Saint Andrew’s is a relatively small venue with a stage to match.  Lloyd worked with the space she was given to emerge in a highly energetic fashion from the foggy darkness of the stage, dancing and jumping around as she rapped and sang.

While the venue itself wasn’t exactly crowded, Lloyd’s true fans came through to fill the room with screams of “I love

you” along with constant cheering to show their support for the former X-Factor contestant.

Lloyd was featured on The X-Factor UK from 2010-2011, coming in fourth place overall.  She won the judges over with her performance of Keri Hilson’s rendition of “Turn My Swag On” for her audition, which she sang to her fans at Saint Andrew’s, “for the first time in three years.”

The middle of Lloyd’s set featured three acoustic songs, including her covers of “Do I Wanna Know” by the Arctic

Monkeys and John Mayer’s “I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You).” Lloyd ended this portion of her show with “Say Goodnight,” a song from her upcoming album.

Lloyd dedicated “Say Goodnight” to her dad, saying that he was one of the most important people in her life.  Before the song began, she took a deep breath and appeared to be shaky.   While it was obvious that she was trying to hold it together during the song, emotion overcame her and she began to cry toward the end.

Following her acoustic set, Lloyd performed some fan-favorites from her first album, including “With Ur Love” and “Superhero,” as well as some songs from her upcoming album, such as her newest single “Sirens” and “M.F.P.O.T.Y.”  Her fans responded extremely well to the new material she was trying out.

Lloyd ended the concert on a happier note with “Want U Back,” her first radio single that debuted in 2011.  It felt as though there was a sing-along in the venue as her fans burst into song right along with her during her final song.
