“Everyone faked to the left side and I could have ran for it, but Bouch was open,” Williams said.

Williams hammered it in a few plays later making it 34-17 Canton with 4:32 remaining.
Canton head coach Tim Baechler was pleased with the way his offense played in the emotional rivalry game.
“It was a great team win tonight,” Baechler said. “Our offense controlled the entire game for us.”
Chase Winningham broke through the middle of the field for a 27-yard touchdown to put Canton up by ten at 27-17 with 25 seconds left in the third quarter.
“I saw a big hole and ran through it,” Winningham (nine carries, 85 yards) said.
The Chiefs (7-0) opened the scoring with a 24-yard Weston Price (13 carries for 73 yards) touchdown.
Cameron Stella returned the ensuing Andrew Loehnis kickoff 95 yards down the right sideline to give Plymouth a 7-6 lead with seven minutes to play in the first quarter.
Canton’s Charles “Chuckie” Turfe scored two touchdowns on back-to-back possessions from one and two yards out putting Canton ahead by six points each time.
“The offensive linemen never get as much credit as they deserve. They were the leaders of the team tonight,” Turfe said. “We’re taking it one game at a time.”
Plymouth’s offense was spearheaded by a steady dose of rushing by D.J. Rossell, 87 yards on 16 carries.
Rossell took six carries in a row on Plymouth’s first offensive possession which was after Turfe’s first touchdown at 11:47 of the second quarter.
“Our defensive line is small, fast, and smart. We decided to let them go and be aggressive and it worked,” Baechler said. “This team has been a pleasant surprise.”
Viet Nguyen added a 42-yard field goal for Plymouth (5-2) with seven minutes remaining in the third quarter to cut the Canton lead to three.
After Winningham’s touchdown putting Canton up by ten, Plymouth got the ball back and pounded Rossell four plays in a row.
On fourth and one, Rossell was stopped by Evan Piontek and short of the first down after the measurement.
Turfe had 31 carries for 128 yards augmented by Williams’ 11 carries for 60 yards. “We got in his [Rossell] way and rallied to the ball,” Baechler said.
