MPC, a high energy, electro house group from Canton, MI, will be releasing a new music video Friday Sept. 6 that will coincide with a future EP launch. This video will be the pinnacle of the bands’ self-produced video releases featuring “in your face music, acting, and comedy,” said MPC drummer Kyle Rudolph.

The cover video, featuring Krewella’s “Come & Get It” will be released Friday, September 6.

The band’s EDM music style combines DJ Matt Ramey’s electro and progressive house beats with Kyle Rudolph’s drums.

“What makes us different from other bands is that we incorporate a live element to EDM which you usually don’t see. Adding in the drums just gives it a whole different feel,” said Rudolph.

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and his collaborations in California clubs with the late DJ AM molded MPC’s original style. “Originally, the band planned to do pop remixes and turned for a completely different direction,” said MPC DJ Matt Ramey. Other major influences for MPC include Krewella and Skrillex.

Kyle and Matt both agree music is a universal language, especially for the younger generation.

“Music is what teenagers live for. You’ll never really find anyone who’s not obsessed with some sort of music,” said Ramey.

“Music can provoke emotions, feelings, and can turn your horrible day into the best day when you’re jamming out to your favorite song,” said Rudolph, “to actually produce that music, to play it, to entertain others, and to make people’s day, that is exactly why I do what I do.”

“Because there are not a lot of vocals in EDM, it brings together many different countries. You see those international festivals that draw hundreds of thousands of people to see these shows because EDM unites every language because there is no language. It’s all about the beat production,” said Ramey.

In MPC’s recent run, the DJ-drummer combo has played many shows. One of the more prominent concerts the band played was when they opened for Before You Exit, a pop rock boy band from Orlando, FL. The show was at the Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA. MPC got a warm welcome at that venue with many fan girls.

“[The girls] did their homework, they did their research, they knew our name before we even set foot on that stage,” said Rudolph.

Check out MPC’s Youtube channel, Twitter and Facebook page more information. The band can be emailed through mylescrewcontact@gmail.com. MPC plans to perform at many shows and clubs throughout 2014. Show dates will be coming soon.

“If anyone is reading this article, contact us, and let’s throw a basement party. It’s cheap and we will supply the fun. When you throw a house party, invite MPC,” said Rudolph.
